Preconception: "I Want My 9 Months"

The March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign is encouraging women of childbearing age to talk to their health care providers before they get pregnant about how to reduce the risk of preterm birth. The title of this educational effort is "I Want My 9 Months."

Educational materials and public service announcements list 9 questions for women to discuss with their providers. The focus is on knowledge and behaviors that may help women reduce the risk of preterm labor.

The singers Thalia and Heather Headley are the spokeswomen for "I Want My 9 Months," which will be conducted in both English and Spanish.
