New March of Dimes Web Site Offers Continuing Education for Perinatal Nurses

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., AUGUST 16, 2004 – The March of Dimes recently launched an educational Web site for perinatal nurses at marchofdimes.com/nursing, featuring its first online continuing education nursing module, Understanding the Behavior of Term Infants.

"This innovative Web site provides new and exciting learning opportunities for perinatal nurses," said March of Dimes President Dr. Jennifer L. Howse. "Nurses can visit the site for March of Dimes continuing education courses online and in print as well asinformation on graduate nursing scholarships. All of the modules are written by nurses, easy-to-use, well written and affordable."

"Understanding the Behavior of Term Infants" was written by Drs. Susan Blackburn and Susan Bakewell-Sachs. It features a multimedia presentation with readings, videos and interactive case studies. The module also provides immediate test feedback and allows nurses to print their own continuing education certificates.

The March of Dimes has provided continuing education to perinatal nurses for 30 years.
