Michigan Chapter Volunteer Leadership Conference (VLC) June 10-11, 2008

For the second time, the March of Dimes, Michigan Chapter will convene the state-wide “Volunteer Leadership Conference” on June 10th through June 11th, at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center in E. Lansing, Michigan. The conference is aiming to recognize volunteers and the important role they have in helping the March of Dimes raise money for research and education programs to reduce the growing crisis of premature birth, the leading cause of newborn death in the U.S. This year, over 150 attendees are expected to attend this important event. The conference will benefit the Michigan March of Dimes by, creating new personal connections, exchanging ideas and experiences, generating new ideas, while connecting with others who are doing their part to bring hope and comfort to families.
The VLC will be held at the Kellogg Hotel & Conference Center, located near the Michigan State University campus. The conference will include breakout sessions such as “Building Relationships by Leading with Mission,” and other sessions will include messages on identifying challenges, and volunteer development. This two-day session will cover a myriad of topics with importance to both the Michigan chapter and the volunteers who carry the mission of the March of Dimes into the community.
