WalkAmerica, the first national walk and the country’s best-loved walking event since its beginnings in 1970 is the March of Dimes largest fundraiser and has been renamed March for Babies. The new name makes a clear connection to what the March of Dimes is all about – the health of babies. In addition to a new name, March for Babies has a new Web site. Interested walkers and donors can visit marchforbabies.org or call toll-free 1-800-525-9255 to sign up as an individual, start a corporate, family or friends team, or donate to help babies be born healthy.
In Michigan, March for Babies will take place from April 19th through May 17th at twenty-eight locations throughout the state.
