Each year, the March of Dimes Maryland-National Capital Area Chapter awards grants to external organizations across the region in order to address unmet maternal and infant health needs.

Historically and today, the strength of the March of Dimes is in its volunteers. One key group of volunteers in our chapter is our boards of directors. There is a chapterwide board of directors and one board for each division.

The March of Dimes provides grants to community groups to assist in the development of local services. The Maryland-National Capital Area Chapter is proud to announce its support of several programs in 2009, providing grants totaling $191,840.
