Team Youth Fund Raising
  Team Youth Fund Raising

Chain Reactions and Collegiate Councils plan and conduct fund-raising events that support March of Dimes life-saving research and community programs, including:
  • WalkAmerica in communities around the country, usually during the last weekend in April.
  • Individual fund-raisers, like dime drives, volleyball tournaments, car washes, dances and carnivals.
  • March of Dimes chapter special events where the youth volunteer their time.

Conducting special events and fund-raisers fosters the development of organizational skills among Chain Reaction and Collegiate Council members. March of Dimes mission and educational messages can be easily incorporated into fund-raising events, creating both publicity and community awareness.

Some fund-raising ideas include:

  • Car washes
  • Give a Dime campaign
  • Selling March of Dimes Bean Bags for Babies
  • Battle of the Bands
  • Mile of Dimes
  • Skate-A-Thon, Bowl-A-Thon, or similar event
  • Holiday theme event
  • Twister Tournament

Use your imagination to invent new fund-raising strategies or call your local March of Dimes chapter for more ideas!
