Implementation
and Technical Data
March of Dimes "Healthy Babies, Healthy Business"
application is delivered over the public Internet from our
hosting facility in NYC to your Intranet. There
is no software to install or maintain.
We utilize WebCollage Syndicator™ technology to dynamically
serve your version of "HBHB." The implementation
of this technology provides for the majority of the effort
to be done at March of Dimes. As a result, you have very minimal
implementation activities. Most importantly, you do not install
any software.
In order to incorporate these applications and embed them
into your site, you must create a "landing page"
which will contain our application. You will place a single
line of HTML code on that page (also referred to as a “container
page”) to facilitate the dynamic inclusion of the March
of Dimes application. This page, or pages, can be placed anywhere
in your Web site in which you want the application to appear.
In some cases, we can even host that page for you.
Here's an example of the line of code that will enable your
"HBHB" application:
<script src=”syndicator.marchofdimes.com/partner/app”>
</script>
WebCollage integrates the application in real-time into your
pages. This client-side integration technology is similar
to the way banner ads work – except that WebCollage
embeds a fully interactive Web application in your site. Your
Web servers serve the container pages, so your pages can be
dynamic and include session-related information.
WebCollage Syndicator performs the following tasks:
- Integrates the March of Dimes page sections from the live
March of Dimes site into your pages.
- Customizes them to fit your look-and-feel requirements
- Controls the user interaction to ensure users always remain
on your site.
The March of Dimes application becomes an integral part of
the page and your site.
