TITLE: Division Director
REPORTS TO: Chapter Director
LOCATION: Wilmington, NC
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Division Director is to organize and manage all activities in the Central Maryland Division including fundraising, committee and board functions, program, public affairs and communications within the division area. The Division Director will also train, supervise and develop the staff in the Central Maryland Division and serves as a liaison between the chapter and division staff.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruit, develop, lead and manage community directors and volunteers in all fund-raising, program and division activities.
- Identify staff needs and develop and implement plan.
- Plan and execute division-based goals and objectives and implement through staff and volunteer participation.
- Oversee planning and implementation of fund-raising activities and financial management. Grow division net income and performance margin through expense reductions and increased revenue.
- Recruit, train, and develop volunteers for leadership positions on the division board and event committees. Personally manage the Central Maryland Division Board.
- Monitor core tactic process.
- Develop and grow relationships with key corporate and civic community leaders. Account manages major relationships.
- Grow major gifts income through personal recruitment of large individual gifts, cultivation and solicitation of community foundations, and recruitment and development of major gifts committee.
- Provide organization visibility through public relations and promotional efforts.
- Manage office and maintain division records.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 5+ years in successful staff and volunteer management.
- Excellent networking skills.
- Experience in fundraising, event planning, corporate sponsorship, budgeting.
- Strong verbal and written skills, problem-solving, planning, implementation, organization and computer skills.
- Demonstrated leadership.
- Flexible hours and ability to travel in the Central Maryland area. Car and valid driver’s license required.
