  TITLE: Divison Director

REPORTS TO: State Director

LOCATION: Richmond, VA

REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement

POSITION PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Division Director is to organize and manage all activities in the division including fundraising, committee and board functions, programming projects, communications and community services within the division area.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Plan and execute fundraising activities 
  • Recruit, orient, and involve volunteers and staff in fundraising, program, and division activities 
  • Manage all division committees 
  • Provide organization visibility through public relations and promotional efforts 
  • Manage and maintain all divisional records 
  • Secure sponsorship base for fundraising events


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent experience and education 
  • Minimum 2 years experience in not-for-profit or equivalent 
  • Sales and marketing, volunteer management and development experience 
  • Fundraising relationship building experience 
  • Ability to positively influence people 
  • Ability to build large support network 
  • Great systems and organizational skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment 
  • Ability to deal with multiple priorities
