TITLE: Manager/Associate Director, Business Analytics and Planning
REPORTS TO: Director, Database Analytics
LOCATION: White Plains, NY
REASON FOR OPENING: New Position
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Director of Business Analytics and Planning is responsible for developing and providing accurate and actionable business intelligence which drive fact-based decision making to accelerate revenue growth, reduce expenses and provide other critical business information to internal leaders across the organization.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Responsible for analysis and reporting on all data maintained on the organization’s internal and external systems and databases, hosted direct response data warehouse and future Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) platform.
Responsible for accurate and timely analytics based on extensive use of data, statistical and quantitative analysis, and explanatory and predictive models .
Direct specific analytics based on individual program and channel needs, including constituent acquisition, retention, defection and constituent service satisfaction levels. Work with individual departments to interpret data and provide guidance for improved results.
Evaluate trends, year-over-year results and provide analysis to enable accurate projections and drive strategic decisions about segmentation critical to CRM.
Participate in on-going development and modifications of CRM platform assuring that CRM analytics will enable MOD to segment constituents and determine the effectiveness of business processes and marketing programs
B. Manage and develop effective staff and consultant support.
Recruit, train and motivate staff of analysts.
Lead the selection and evaluation of consultants, develop objectives for their work and oversee performance.
C. Perform ongoing needs assessment of analytic requirements across departments and senior staff. Evaluate real-time, as well as monthly, quarterly and annual, information display capabilities. Lead development of dashboards and other data visualization methods that provide managers with up-to-date information on key indicators.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Four-year college degree or equivalent experience with 6 to 10 years directly related work experience
Ability to communicate complex analytics to non-technical audience
Knowledge of SQL reporting, Business Objects/Crystal Reports a plus
Multivariate statistical analysis using SAS or SPSS would be a plus.
Supervisory experience
