  March of Dimes Names Three Senior Vice President and Vice President Leadership Positions

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y., NOVEMBER 18, 2002 –  In an effort to build on an already strong foundation, the March of Dimes has announced that it has named three new senior vice presidents and vice presidents.

Effective Jan. 2, 2003, Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, president of the March of Dimes, has announced that Mark Roithmayr, State Director of the Greater New York Chapter of the March of Dimes, will become Senior Vice President, Revenue Development for the March of Dimes. In addition, the following people have been named Vice Presidents, effective immediately:
  • Janis Biermann, formerly director of the Folic Acid Campaign, is now Vice President, Education and Health Promotion.
  • Dr. Scott Berns, formerly national director of Chapter Programs, is now Vice President, Chapter Programs.


The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.
